KICKSTARTER - a Lovercraftian RPG

Fri Jun 10, 2016, 8:03 AM
For over half a year I've been constantly swamped with work... nah, I've rather been happy busy with different projects. One of them has been "Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones" - a horror computer RPG set in a Lovercraft's universe. My task was to design an environment: ruined buildings, alien plants, old vehicles, mysterious monuments and more.

Stygian's crowdfunding campaign has already started on Kickstarter, so:
:bulletred: If you're curious about the results of my cooperation with guys from Cultic Games (I hope you are!) take a look at the trailer (only for people with strong nerves ;) ).
:bulletred: And if you are fans of RPGs, Heroes of Might and Magic and Lovercraft's universe, maybe you'll find this campaign worthy of support :D .

The Best Tips

Wed Jul 1, 2015, 1:37 AM

I guess that the most popular question in interviews with freelance illustrators is "The best tips for aspiring artists". No wonder... that's probably the most valuable question.

Here is a list of my tips. Some of them I got before becoming a freelance illustrator. Other advices I "discovered" myself quite fast and  still others were understood after wasting a lot of time and getting stuck in a blind alley:

:bulletred: Beginnings are usually hard, so be patient.

:bulletred: Be a severe reviewer of your works. Being over-enthusiastic about your achievements can only prevent you from being better.

:bulletred: Expand your "comfort zone", but have a specified specialization.

:bulletred: Don't work for free just to expand your portfolio. Personal works are much better for this purpose.

:bulletred: Keep the right work-life balance.

:bulletred: "Everything you do proves who you are".

And here's a blog entry, where I described these points more broadly especially in the context of a freelance artist…

What advices would you add? I'm really curious about them :sherlock:

How flat watercolor works would look like, if someone added a little bit life to them? You can take a look at short animations based on my several works!

:boogie: Full-length version [link]- with a voice-over, telling a story about a brave voyager searching for an inspiration

:meditation: Shortened version [link]- a little bit more serious presentation of my works (a kind of an animated portfolio with quite atmospheric music)

I hope that you'll like them!
Any support, comments and subscriptions to my Vimeo channel ( will be truly appreciated.

Artist | Professional | Traditional Art
I graduated from Warsaw Faculty of Architecture but currently I work as freelance illustrator and concept artist.
Most of my artworks are created with traditional media, sometimes supported by digital technology. I find my inspiration in works of Old masters (L. da Vinci, G. B. Piranesi. A. Durer), fantasy books, heavy, melodic music and long walks in the woods. My favourite themes are related with music, steampunk, middle ages, and architecture in general.

If you're looking for an illustrator or would just have a chat, don't hesitate to contact me:
